As many of you might know, Blake's family has had a cabin at Lake Kemp for a long time. We used to go a lot before kids, but haven't been in over 7 years. We decided the kids were getting old enough to enjoy it and now have decided to begin fixing it up for some weekend getaways! It takes about 3 hours to get there. Cooper was so excited! He began asking us "are we there yet?" about 20 minutes into the drive.
When we finally got there, we let the dogs and the kids out and off they went. Coy, Mark, and Marty joined us. First thing they wanted to do was go swimming....there goes the days when Blake and I went up there and sat on the deck and enjoyed the view for a while. We had to get bathing suits and sunscreen on immediately. At first Cooper wasn't too sure about the lake... he had only been in a swimming pool... but he quickly got over it and jumped in and started swimming. Lexi, on the other hand, took a little longer to get over it....about a day :)
The next 2 days were filled with fun activities:
Swimming...
Fishing....Cooper caught 22 fish. Daddy helped him reel in the keeper for the day!
Cooper worked on his golf swing....
Lexi worked on what she does best... eating junk food :) And yes her hair is pulled back out of her face with a bread tie... THANKS MARK!

And after all of that fun.... she 'tried' to sleep in!!!!
Overall it was a great weekend! Can't wait to do it again!!!!
